Chapter 31: Entering the Stronghold

With our heroes managing to put a end to adam taurus, thanks to weiss
will to protect her friends and the shocking development of noctis summoning his weapon
directly through the chest of adam putting a end to him along with the glacian freezing him on the spot in the train as he is left in his frozen prison in a slow death.

The glacian choosen weiss to hold her power,receiving her mark as she was watching
her potential holding off against adam, once she received the mark the blizzard settled down as yang,blake and jaune woke up from they're unconscious state.

the train once again went back on course as they finally reached gralea in under an hour, noctis questions his ability to only summon his engine blade as he thought he could not summon them due this restrictions.

our heroes final stop is coming up as the climax of they're long journey has finally arrived..

12:09 AM, Niflheim, Gralea

As the train comes to a stop at the capital's station, the passengers slowly take there steps off the train as our heroes came out last taking a look around seeing making sure for no white fang in sight before stepping off.

"Any sign of them blake?.." Yang says from behind her. "mhmm..." She steps off the train along with everyone as they stood together in a row looking up towards the building up ahead.


"..This place didn't change one bit..." Noctis says on sight looking around sighing on belief. "I'm guessing torchwick is up there..." Weiss turns to the others. "i hope so..we need to save pyrrha and penny"

"next stop...torchwick.." Yang says as she begins walking ahead as blake,jaune and weiss follows behind, as when ruby was about to follow she was stopped by noctis.

"huh?..something wrong noctis?..." Ruby turns to her concerned. "..about what happen on the train, i didn't know or how i was able to summon my engine blade..plus i'm been out in front of you guy's for this long i should have begin to start to disappear back on the train...plus that adam punk saw me somehow.."

"..you think it has something to do with my ring?.." ruby holds up her hand looking at it. "plus..you gave me some of your power to defeat the leviathan remember?.."

"i remember..but whatever is going on, i hope something spills out it soon..." Noctis walks pass ruby before coming to a stop. "w-wait noctis..i remember that shop owner back at altissia that..." Ruby thinks for a moment as noctis looks back at her.

"remembered what?.." Noctis asks her what she was about to say,before ruby nods her head no. "n-nevermind..i thought i was thinking about something else...sorry."

"....*sighs*...come on now, we need to catch up." Ruby nods as she walks up along side noctis as the two runs ahead to catch up with yang and the others. ruby looks down beginning to have second thoughts about it while she was walking. "......."

Minutes Later

Our heroes was near the entrance into the stronghold as they see 2 white fang and imperial soldiers guarding the entrance.

"looks like we don't have to go with that plan of your's jaune.." Yang grins clenching her fist. "H-hey!!" Jaune yells before getting his mouth covered by weiss. "shut it.." The 4 peaks behind a stack of delivery boxes as noctis and ruby approaches from the other side hiding behind a stack themselves.

"where we you two at?.." Yang silently yells over. "got caught up...i see you found the entrance.." noctis peaks around the side of the boxes seeing the enemies ahead.

"Changed of plans...we need something to draw them away for a couple of seconds then all of us will rush in to get rid of them."

They all look around as jaune stops a rock near beside he was sitting and grabs hold of it,he than tosses it overhead to the right hoping it would get they're attention.

"hmm.." blake notices and looks over back to jaune as he gives a thumbs up,she turns back noticing the soldiers turned they're attention where the sound landed. "alright let's go!"

all of them rushes out from there hiding spot towards the soldiers,as they all quickly took them down with yang knocking out both white fang members as weiss and ruby slices off the heads of the imperial soldiers as magitek energy comes spilling out before disappearing.

Noctis begins to check the pockets of the white fang members. "...if they are guarding..one of the key card should be on them."

"key card?.." Everyone groups around noctis as he checks them out. "aha!.." noctis turns around showing them the key card. "..this is our pass to level 2...i mentioned back on the train when i was here years ago there were 3 others keys i found while making my way through here...we have two others to find to advanced."

"Okay..so i'm guessing each card is on a white fang member each level we enter..right?" Jaune asks curious. "yeah..." Noctis then walks over to the door as he slices down the key card as the switch next to the door shifts to green from red. "hmm.." he slowly opens the door and looks around seeing no one in sight. "it's safe come on..." noctis leads in first as the others comes in behind him.

"h-hey look..." Ruby points ahead to elevator. "that's our ride..come on." everyone runs over to the elevator once they got close they heard someone was coming down. "everyone hide!.." Blake yells out as everyone hid behind nearby objects and wall.

"hmm..." jaune looks from behind the wall,as the elevator door opens two white fang members walks out from it as they were having a conversation.

"...so anything your doing once your shift is over?.."
"sadly no..i have to look over those two prisoners for a couple of hours..."

Everyone's ears perk up on the conversation,as they kept close attention on hearing.

"..that sucks, one them creeps me out though.."

"who?.."

"One of them looked dead..with her eyes wide open i don't know what they did to her when they bought those prisoners here..but it's creepy whenever i walk pass her cell.."

Ruby's eyes widens on sight knowing who they were talking about. "p-penny!.." noctis quickly covers her mouth.

"..how about the other prisoner?..."

"..that red headed chick is out cold..it's almost like she's dead..i feel bad for the person who is close to her though..but whatever!" Both white fang members chuckles on the remark.

Jaune grips his fist in anger as he was about to confront them before being stopped by weiss. "......don't do it.." jaune looks back at her then back at the white fang still laughing. "..grrr...fine.."

the two white fang members heads out towards the exit to check on the group guarding the entrance. "alright go!.." Noctis says signaling as everyone runs for the elevator setting the it towards level 1 as the doors closes.

"........" jaune leaning against the elevator wall looking down,as weiss turns towards him. "i knew you were about to do jaune, we're all worried and angry as you are." weiss says putting her hand on his shoulder.

"i-i know..what just got to me..is that saying she was dead.."

"don't count on it..." jaune and weiss looks over to noctis. "if they were dead..they would have tried to killed them back at altissia..having them as prisoners..dragged us all the way here..."

"yeah..we will make sure to make them regret what they did to them!.." Yang clenches her fist in a bit of rage. "...i agree, but remember guy's we must not allow to be seen, we better risk knocking any white fang soldier out on sight or destroy any imperial soldier on sight" Blake clarifies to everyone.

"right!.." Everyone said together as zwei peaks out of ruby's bag making nervous noise. "it's alright zwei..we be out of here in no time.." ruby pets zwei's head softly as he licks her cheek. "hehehe.." Everyone smiles for the moment as the elevator comes to a complete stop as the door in front of them leads them down a path corridor.

"..this looks familiar.." noctis steps out of the elevator first as he looks around trying to remember the paths he took. "alright everyone this way.." noctis then walk in a fast pace down the corridor as they followed behind.

as jaune looks around at the walls of the corridors as he looks ahead behind everyone. "pyrrha..we will save you..."
