Chapter 36: The Return

With ruby finally encountering roman torchwick along with neo, she will
noticed he has possession of the mark of the infernian,torchwick pulls out a trigger
to set the entire stronghold to self-destruct as ruby was about to attack him,she questions if she should attack or not..it was at that moment torchwick presses the trigger anyway.

Ruby quickly got out of there as roman torchwick and neo takes the escape hatch,meanwhile noctis and qrow sends yang and the others to get out while the two go to help ruby,but as she was running to the hanger the doors was closing for good as qrow and noctis tries to keep the door opens as possible,but noctis seeing the distance from ruby is from the door and see's her ring.

noctis let's go of the door along with pulling qrow away as the door closes down,ruby begins to panic as she yells from the other side of the door,noctis and qrow get's into a heated argument as noctis gradually ignores him as he replies back to ruby about the ring and focuses.

qrow didn't know what he was talking about, then suddenly a tint of blue and red and her voice was no longer heard,noctis and qrow quickly rushed out of here before the explosion as yang and the others was waiting outside,qrow angrily yells towards noctis thinking ruby is dead,yang and the others heard the matter as yang along jump to conclusions.

Noctis told them she's alright and she went somewhere and that place..is the astral realm, once ruby woke up in the astral realm she encountered herself a huge figure above her meeting the draconian..bahamut...

Astral Realm

"...Go now and relinquish the mark of the infernian from that mortal,once you succeed, relinquish the marks bestow upon you and your friends immediately.."

"Got it.."

Ruby says over bahamut's voice, as he ring glows red he takes up her entire vision as she felt and no longer have no sight of bahamut in front of her as everything went silence as suddenly a calm wind and the sound of water and waves can be heard.

ruby was laying on a shore of a beach near the ocean,she slowly wakes up lifting herself up wiping the sand off of her face.

5 Months Later: Galdin Quay, 10:48 PM

ruby looks out to the ocean and the sky seeing everything was normal and fine. "everything l-looks fine...Y-yang..G-guys!.." Ruby reaches into her pocket and pulls out her scroll as she slowly get's up.

ruby slowly makes her way onto the board walk heading to the galdin quay resort as she had her scroll near her ear. "Come on..come on..." ruby hear's noises in the background.

"Yang?!..you there?!.." ruby yells over the scroll. "r-ruby?!..is that you?!.."

ruby gradually smiles in belief. "it's me yang!..what's going on..i hear noise?!"

"No No!..first where have you been?!..it's been like 5 months?!.." ruby becomes shocked knowing she's been gone for that long.

"..i been gone for that long?!,i-i'm at galdin quay..seems everything is fine here?..what's going on there?!..i'm hearing tons of noises!"

"..right now i'm with blake helping out with sun and neptune at the moment..we just fought off a bunch a grimm before you came answering!.."

Ruby makes it to the resort and sat down by a nearby table. "okay..how's penny?,uncle qrow and noctis?!.."

"After we left gralea months ago we took penny back to atlas to get her fixed up..right now she should be okay and for uncle qrow he's with ms.goodwitch and the other teachers right now they heard sights of torchwick at the academy."

"Wait you serious?!..why would he be there?!.." ruby grips hold of her seat. "at the moment we don't know...so right now we're planning to head in at some point..and as for noctis.."

"yeah?.."

".....he got a few friends of his to help us...luckily..they are really nice" ruby thinks for a moment. "friends?..do you know where they're at with him"

"they're with uncle qrow at the moment..i think they left a while back to do something?...want me to call up noct's friends to come and get you?"

"yes please anything to meet up with you guy's again..i'll wait here until then."

"okay ruby..stay tight." yang hangs up as ruby puts her scroll back into her pocket,she turns her chair out towards the ocean and stare to the sky. "..even though it's been 5 months..i wonder what everyone is doing..."ruby then slowly leans back on her chair slowly closing her eyes remembering the last time seeing them.

"it felt like it was just only yesterday..." ruby sighs as she stares off into the sky as the stars glimmer and shine in the sky.

35 Minutes Later

ruby was calmly snoring softly in her seat laying her head on the table with her hood over her head,footsteps of three people could be heard from coming towards her as one of them taps her on the shoulder. "mmmm...no weiss..not yet.." she swats away who was touching her.

she get's her shoulder tapped again. "5 more minutes please...." ruby get's her shoulder tapped again. "F-fine fine!!..i'll wake up!!.." she quickly sits up pulling back her hood as she opens her eyes with her vision blurry towards the 3 people standing in front of her.

"Ruby rose was it?.." the unknown person questions her,ruby rubs her eyes. "yeah..that's me." as her vision comes clear she see's three unknown people in front of her. "h-hello?.."

"Are you ms.ruby rose?.." ruby turns to the unknown man with the glasses. "yeah..i'm ruby rose..w-wait are you here to get me?"

"that's us.." she turns to her right seeing the man with his arms crossed having two marks on his forehead and one his left side of his face.

"oh we didn't get to introduce ourselves..." ruby turns towards the tall blonde sharp haired person.

"ruby..the name's prompto, this guy in the glasses his name is ignis and over here this big guy's name is gladioslus.or just gladio for short." Prompto says in a cheerful tone.

Ruby continues to get adjusted to the three as she looks at them. "nice to meet you.." she smiles.

"Shall we take off?." ignis turns towards prompto and gladio. "yeah..i suppose."

The three begins to leave as ruby begins to follow up behind them. "..so ruby was it?..what's it like meeting noct?." prompto asks her looking back. "it was a surprised..i mean i didn't expect to just see him..plus how did he get in touch with you guys?.."

"Since it's been a long time since we saw him, we was in insomnia as it was back to it's former glory, prompto received a message saying to meet outside the city, all of us was curious so we went...once we arrived we were in shocked seeing him..all well and fine." Ignis carefully not stumble on his words

"Your friends told us about the journey you and they had, must have been crazy huh?." gladio looks back. "yeah..after nearly dying almost 3 or 4 times..it was crazy alright."

"Sorry you and your friends had to finish off our problem from years ago..it must have been tough." prompto gradually tries to cheer her up. "no no it's alright..being outside from our academy exploring this world..was amazing for my team and friends..even though it involved tons of conflict we had to deal with.

Prompto,Ignis and Gladio all grins as the 4 walks out to the parking lot. "ruby meet our trusty steed..the regalia 2.0...." prompto waves his arms over to the stylish car as it was parked perfectly in placed.

"nice..and what happened to 1.0?." She laughs nervously. "We took it on it's last run years ago back in gralea..." gladio sheds on remembering about it along with ignis.

"Oh..sorry to bring it up.." she apologizes on bringing up a bad memory. "it's alright...that's all in the past now..."

The 4 enters into the regalia as they take off leaving galdin quay,ruby looks over to the side as she takes off her ring and stares at it. ".........."

"so that's what bought you here?.." gladio looks over as he was sitting beside her. "..yeah, i'm lucky enough to survive back in gralea if it wasn't for this and noctis.."

prompto looks over the front driver's mirror to see what ruby was carrying. "..so it's similar to the ring noct had years ago?..can you summon weapons like he does?." prompto accidentally drifts to the wrong side of the road.

"Prompto Careful!.." Ignis yells at prompto as he took notice as he drives back into place. "Hehehe..sorry...yeah could you summon weapons ruby?.."

"well..i can summon my friends weapons..if they lend me them..but i wouldn't be able to do if it wasn't for noctis helping me awaken the ring's power."

"where in perhaps you got this ring from?.." ignis looks back over his shoulder. "Oh..i bought this in altissia..the guy who was selling it at that shop was new and said it was found somewhere where me and my friends live at..in remnant."

"i see...anything else he told you?.."

"nothing really...i payed for the ring which cost a lot..and that was it sorry.." ruby replies towards ignis.

"it's alright, no need for apologies" he kindly responds back to ruby. "okay..hehe"

"hmm..by the way ruby you sure remind me of someone!.." prompto smiles looking back with the driver's mirror.

"i do?..who?"

"well..she sorta don't act like that anymore but..you remind me of gladio's sister!.."

gladio angrily grunts looking over to the side. "What?!..i can't be the only one who thought about it?." prompto chuckles.

"what's her name?.."

"her name is iris.." ruby turns over towards gladio after answering her question. 'so where is she right now?..and nice name."

"right now..she's insomnia for all i know what's she's doing..." gladio sighs.

ruby looks at the three and smiles thankfully getting to know noctis friends and how much of a relationship the 3 have

The 4 exits out off from the Galdin quay as they enter to the dust region of leide,along the way the 4 share a conversation about themselves to ruby with a few laughs and moments the shared with noctis.

Ruby lays her head on her shoulder looking up to the sky as the wind drifts through her hair. "i see why you like these guy's so much like brothers noctis.." ruby slowly closes her eyes as she falls asleep.

prompto looks at the window seeing ruby was asleep and looks around. "h-hey guys..mind if we stop by hammerhead for a quick sec-"

"No prompto!.."

"if you're just there to see cindy..then cut it!." both ignis and gladio yells towards him as ruby opens one of her eyes as she let out a small chuckle before falling back asleep..
