RWBY Fantasy ~ Chapter 38

Chapter 38: Ifrit the, infernian

With plans set and place for our heroes to enter
the heavily guarded beacon academy, with white fang and imperial soldiers
roaming around, also a distress signal coming from ozpin's office with our heroes hope
he is still alive some how.

with the disturbance of the imperial soldiers roaming around, ms.goodwitch and qrow tells ruby and noct about a magitek generator powering the soldiers, Team RWBY and Noct's group set a plan to separate once they enter into the academy.

Team RWBY goes after roman torchwick and Noct's Group goes after to take out the generator, now the final stretch of our heroes journey is almost to a close.

12:15 AM, Beacon Academy

White Fang troops was scouting the area, as imperial soldiers stood on stand by looking from left and right for any signs of intruders.

One of the white fang troops yawns tiredly as he stood against the wall. "....hu-" he was suddenly punched in the face as yang came from the darkness as Ruby,Noct and the others come out from behind. "Take that!.." yang looks up and see's the rest of the white fang troops and imperial soldiers notices as they quickly went into alert and charges at them.

"Ready Guys?!.." Ruby pulls out her crescent rose along with Noctis summoning his engine blade. "You bet!.." Weiss,Blake,Yang,Gladio,Ignis and Prompto get's out they're weapons as they went off in pairs to attack the incoming enemies.

Gladio uses his greatsword and goes in for a slice taking down a coming imperial soldier as he slams his sword to the ground causing more damage as gladio was kneeling on the ground as another soldier was coming towards him. "Watch out!.." Yang comes running over and hops over gladio's back throwing in a deadly blow to the imperial soldier crushing it's entire head.

"tch.." gladio pulls up his greatsword over his shoulder. "Didn't expect that" gladio grins
"I saw an open and i went for it!." yang looks back smiling.

Ignis throws his daggers at the charging imperial soldiers as suddenly weiss uses her Myrtenaster holding it towards the ground creating a wall of ice crystals a shockwave towards the enemies stopping them in place as ignis daggers got a direct hit towards the imperial soldiers directly to the head.

Weiss stood back up leaving them the ice wall in place. "impressive weiss, proper form as well.."
"Thanks ignis"

Prompto was shooting from his quicksilver as it delivers direct hit from a far,as blake charges it knocking out white fang members unconscious as she destroys the imperial soldiers with her Gambol Shroud.

"Yo Blake that was awesome!." Prompto gives her a thumbs up,blake looks back and rolls her eyes as she grins.

Noct stabs his engine blade through the chest of the last imperial soldier as ruby jumps into the air and slashes the head off from the soldier as she lands with rose petals settle behind her as noctis backs away as the body fell flat onto the ground.

both groups come together after finishing off they're enemies. "Wow you guy's are more better then i last remembered..." Ruby looks at yang,blake and weiss. "Why you were gone..we were given a bit of training by ignis and Gladio here.."

"H-hey what about me?.." Prompto questions he wasn't mentioned "you didn't help that much prompto sorry.."

prompto quickly was on his knees and arms looking at the ground upset. "Didn't help that much?..."
noctis looks over chuckling. "hehehe..come on don't be hard on him you guys."

Gladio pulls prompto back on his feet and pushes him back towards the others. "This is where we part ways...the magitek generator is close." Ignis clarifies on the situation. "Iggy's right i can feel it close somewhere.."

Noct nods and looks towards ruby and the others. "you guy's be careful now, since torchwick has the mark of the infernian by his side..you are looking for a tough fight.."

Ruby looks back at her team and nods with full of confidence. "right..we will do our best, we made it this far.."

noctis smiles and backs away joining up with his group. "Good Luck and Godspeed.." Ignis says towards Team RWBY, "You guys to.." Weiss replies back to ignis and the others.

Both groups part ways as they separate to do they're roles,Team RWBY rushes towards where ozpin's office. "This place is a wreck..." yang says looking around as the team jogs.

"..whatever happened to ozpin when we left him behind must have been rough..." weiss looks over as the team runs jogs past the library as it was in ruins seeing a crashed imperial ship inside the building.

"ozpin must have put up a fight with adam..the academy was not this ruined when we escaped.." blake thinks back to her encounter with adam here before she escaped with the others. "this was my fault.." Blake stops on the spot as ruby,yang and weiss stops as well turning around.

'What?..what did you say blake?" yang looks back towards her concerned. "this is my fault..i mean when we escaped we just turned this whole journey into a goose chase.."

Ruby walks up towards blake. "blake listen..it's all in the past now.."
"but still ruby!!..i mean face it he chased us all the way to altissia and on the train..we nearly died!." blake yells at ruby

"yeah..but he's dead now, remember you finished him off at gralea when he got turned into that...ehh you know.." weiss clarifies to blake

"that's true..but at that point when i saw him..completely deformed like that, i was just filled with mixed of emotions..and it took all of y'all to snap me out of it!."

"but being here..bringing him up, just bringing it back..." Everyone stood silent as ruby,weiss and yang walks over and hugs blake. "we're sorry.." blake looks at the three as she shakes her head trying not to cry. "..g-guys.."

"you don't have to worry about him anymore..like ruby said it's all in the past now, put that conflict with him to rest.." Yang comfortably says to blake

"besides..we was there by your side no matter what even if adam's intentions was mainly towards you, we won't let him hurt you.."

blake slowly begins to cry as she slowly raises her arms wrapping them around ruby,weiss and yang into a group hug. "thank you guy's..thank you.."

Minutes Later

Outside of ozpin's office,torchwick and neo's footsteps are seen exiting out. "neo i suggest you leave at once..i feel i could handle this all on my own..hehehe.." Torchwick looks at his grimm arm as the mark of the infernian glows.

Neo nervously nods and does what she is told and quickly leaves meeting up with the white fang troops outside of the academy, roman torchwick turns back his attention ahead of him as he see's team rwby up ahead.

"..hmm little red surived..." torchwick grins

Team RWBY takes a stop as they see torchwick outside as both ruby and torchwick kept there eyes towards one another.

"Pleasure to see you 4 in one piece, specially you little red...it's been a boring 5 months since our last encounter i could have sworn the self-destruction back in gralea to you out"

ruby grips her fist in anger. "i was lucky enough to make it....thanks to a friend."
yang looks around. "hey where's that girl that is always with you huh?..i want to knock her around a bit more from that time at the base!" yang clenches her fist together

"oh how unfortunate..she is taking her leave just a few minutes ago before you arrived, for all i know she is probably gone already." torchwick grins.

"forget her..it's just us 4 against you." weiss switches the dust in her myrtenaster"

blake looks closely at his grimm arm and see's the infernian's mark and notices it was glowing "guys..."

"you 4 think you're fighting me..but you have to get through him first to get to me." torchwick looks at the infernian's mark on his grimm arm. "he's ready....prepare to face your end..you 4 may have came this far..but this is where it ends...let me leave you on a brief note before i say farewell.."

Ruby and the others feel the area starting to becoming hotter and hotter each second. "Ifrit, the infernian, He doesn't share the Glacian's fondness for mankind....But you can expect a warm welcome...from here i saw farewell little red and you're friends.." Torchwick grins tipping down his hat as the area grows dark as he disappears back into the tower towards ozpin's office.

Sudden burst of flames rose from the ground,as ruby and the gang cover themselves from the flames,as the unguarded themselves they see the infernian himself seating on his throne looking on towards team rwby

"This is it guy's..stay cool." ruby pulls out her crescent rose as the 4 walks over towards to ifrit carefully and all of a sudden ifrit lifts his hand as a sudden burst of flame comes form his hands.

"RUBY WATCH OUT!!!.." Yang yells out towards ruby,as she ruby falls to the ground as the flames surrounded her as she rolls back in forth on the ground. "Gah!!..h-help!!.." weiss runs over and tries to put the flames out as the it burns a bit of ruby's hood.

"Everyone over here!!..he's about to strike again!!" Blake yells out to the others,weiss helps up ruby as she drags her over to the spot and then quickly yang comes from behind and carries the two behind a nearby wall as a burst of flames comes over head of themselves.


"it feels like my eye brows are peeling off!!.." weiss yells over the sound of rushing flames. "Everyone stay down!.." as the flames settles yang,weiss got up as blake takes care of ruby.

"Weiss try to patch him up with your ice dust!.." yang yells over to weiss as the two went on ahead. "i don't even think it will work anyway!!..his flames are to strong!!"

Blake get's up as she make sure ruby was alright. "ruby you oka-" ruby get's up and nods with full of adrenaline pumping through her "LET'S GO!!.."

Ruby rushes ahead as blake comes up behind her joining up with yang and weiss. "What's the plan!.." yang yells towards the others. "we need the glacian's power!.." weiss says as she was about to lift up her hand with the mark up.

as ruby stops her holding her arm right in front of weiss. "no..we shouldn't use her yet!"

Yang,Weiss and Blake looks at her confused. "Why?!..noctis and the others used her against the infernian years ago!..we can end it now!"

"..i know but..let's this guy on his feet first!..all of us need to back away a bit hopefully trust me." Ruby lifts her other arm into the air as weiss,yang and blake notices the mark. "wait..ruby i thought you just only had Fulgurian mark..an-"

"while i was gone..he was thankfully enough to give me his power.." Ruby smiles as her hand lets off a shine as the mark of the draconian glows,ifrit notices and covers himself as he looks towards the sky.

"Everyone back up now!!.." Ruby signals as all of them ran away far enough from the area ruby signal.

As suddenly from the sky a large sword comes raining from the sky as the light from the moon shines upon the academy as it crashes onto the ground. as ruby was running she falls onto the ground and looks up seeing the sword,she looks around as she slowly get's up.

"Ruby come on!!.." Yang yells towards ruby as a gust of wind suddenly appears,everyone looks up towards the sky and overhead bahamut, the draconian was flying around around the academy as it comes in swooping in taking his sword from the ground taking it back into the sky as he was over head of everyone as many glowing swords was glowing around him.

"Here it comes!!!.." Yang runs over and drags ruby to somewhere to hide behind.

Bahamut points his sword towards the ground as many of them comes raining down towards ifrit,ifrit quickly rises from his chair and dodges the incoming one hitting his chair as it disappears,he continues to dodge each one as it came down,he back flips on the center as he see's bahamut nose dives with his sword towards ifrit as both of they're weapons collided with one another as sparks went flying between they're blades.

Team RWBY comes out from where they were hiding as ruby took notice,bahamut slowly looks from the side of his eyes towards the 4, mainly towards ruby. Ruby notices and nods as she pulls back out her crescent rose and goes in spiraling leaving a trace of roses behind her into the sky as she comes down swinging her scythe towards the head of ifrit but at the last second she slices one of his thorns on his head.

ruby lands back on the ground turning around as ifrit left stun dropping his sword to the ground as all traces of bahamut disappears along with his mark on ruby's hand.

yang,weiss and blake runs over to check on ruby. "R-ruby why didn't you tell us you got the draconian's mark!?.." yang yells towards her. "wanted it to be a surprise!.."

weiss turns around and see's ifrit slowly reaching back down for his weapon. "What?!.."

"Even that wasn't enough!..he managed to dodge all those swords like it was nothing!." Blake yells as yang and ruby notices.

"Damn it!.." yang's eyes shifts to red. "it's time for the worst..i'll give the signal to use the glacian weiss!"

"Right!.."

Ifrit slowly turns around to the 4 as it disappears along with it's flames. "W-wait where did he go?!.." weiss looks around.

"A-aaah!!!.." ruby was picked off her feet by ifrit as he re-appears tossing her up into the air high enough to see the entire academy.  

"RUBY!!.."

ruby flails her arms around in panic holding her from the rush and suddenly ifrit appears in front of her. "Tch!..you!!.." Ruby dodges his incoming attack and clashes with him.

"She fighting him in the air!..," Blake looks up towards the sky along with yang and weiss. "there's nothing we could do from being all the way down here!" yang yells.

Ruby get's the final clash against ifrit as the two starts comes crashing back to the ground in highspeed. "Ruby looks over as warm air comes hitting her in the face. ifrit pushes her away at the last second as the two crashed back onto the ground.

"RUBY!!.." Yang,Weiss and Blake says as they quickly ran and stood beside her. ruby slowly get's back onto her feet feeling a bit sick from the rush. "Tch..i'm alright..right now i'm not trying to throw up!.." she covers her mouth.

weiss looks on towards ifrit as he was about to attack again,as she quickly thought of something. "Aha!.." she reaches into her pocket and pulls out a ice material and crushes it in her hand. "Ruby give me your hand!.." ruby held out her hand as it suddenly gotten cold. "h-huh?!..when did you?!..."

"learned it from ignis!..this should even things up!.." Weiss does the same to give yang and blake some edge against ifrit. "Thanks..this should be handy!..come on!"

Team RWBY Charges towards ifrit as each of them try to land in there own attacks but actually being a bit more effective thanks to weiss enhancement.

"Grr!!!.." Weiss slams her weapon to the ground sending a ice wall to stop ifrit in his tracks trapping him by his leg. "Guy's now!.."

Yang comes running in and trips ifrit by his other leg punching him in the knee as he growls in pain. "Blake!.." Yang grabs blake's hand and throws her into the air as she comes in slicing one of ifrit's hands.

"We Crippled him!..time to end this!..weiss!" weiss notices ruby's signal and nods as she lifts up her hand as the mark of the glacian glows,the area starts to become from hot to cold in matter of seconds as they were in a middle of a blizzard.

Team RWBY cover themselves from the cold as the 4 came together to huddle,the group looks to side of themselves and see's a woman wearing a black attire slowly transforms into the glacian. "W-wait a sec.." yang looks closely at her.

The glacian surrounds the ifrit as more copies of herself surround him as they surround team RWBY,they look at the glacians becoming more colder the second as ifrit broke free from the wall of ice weiss trapped him.

"He broke free!!.." wiess yells as frost starts covering everyone,ifrit walks with his limping leg after it was broken by yang as a blizzard starts surrounding him as he slowly starts to become frozen as the glacian slowly confronts him as he comes frozen and she lays a kiss on his lips using her diamond dust.

Ifrit falls to dust once against as he disappears from sight as the glacian disappears as the cold wind settles down quickly as the entire area was frost bite.

"T-that..was a experience..." yang says still holding everyone close as they pull away from one another,

suddenly the 4 here a voice in the sky talking towards them. "..was that.."

"what did she say?.." weiss says confused as she was unaware the mark of the glacian disappears from her hand.

"she told us to relinquish the mark of the infernian from torchwick..." ruby steps ahead in front of everyone looking up at the tower.

"it's time to end this.." The 4 quickly rushes in towards the office as the last snow flake hits the ground as it disappears along with the frost around the area.
